To define oneself is a degrading experience.
To create labels for oneself, such as a Christian, a Jew, a liberal or a conservative, a CPA or a student, is to present oneself as a fixed, inanimate thing.
In reality we are free consciousnesses who are able to act as we want at any time.
For instance, rather than being a CPA, I have trained as a CPA until this moment, but I am free to abandon that identity if I choose to at any moment.
