Hello!

This is the first ‘now’ post on the site. Thank you for visiting. I’m absolutely terrible at writing casually and without self-editing as I go, which makes my process slow and sometimes unpleasant.

But! And what I’m excited about with this site, and the digital gardening theme as a whole, is that it’s extremely non-performative. There are no metrics, no likes, no subscribers, no tracking or analytics. I don’t know you’re here. I won’t know you’ve been here. In today’s hyper-optimized and industrialized web, I find it really exciting to have a little space for peace and quite.

Feel free to snoop around and make yourself at home here. I hope you find something interesting.

In terms of what I’m up to right now - always a tough question because I’m easily excitable and slightly obsessive when I find a “thing” I like. I’ve basically spent every free minute of the last week setting this site up. Mostly on the styling, which is certainly not perfect, but it is unique (i think)!

Besides that, what I was supposed to be doing in that time was studying Japanese history. I’m currently 5 weeks in, and one week behind, on a 10-week learning plan I’ve made for myself to get a super detailed run down on the countries history from roughly 800 CE to 1900 CE. I’ll put the books I’m working through below if you’re interested.

Anyway, that’s it for now - I need to go grab some sushi for dinner.

Ciao ciao!

Christian P.
