The most important thing to consider when writing is to make the reader care as fast as possible. People scroll quickly on the internet, so if you aren’t able to get their attention immediately, they’ll move on.
A good way to do this is to provoke the reader’s curiosity. Offer a question, in the form of a sentence, if possible.
For example, if writing an article on the history of Venice, rather than describing the empire, hint at why it is worth writing about.
“Venice is interesting because it was an empire with no farms.” And there we have our title: “Empires Without Farms”. An apparent paradox, which intrigues the reader…”
