All phenomena that we assign value to comes from the recognition of what that thing represents against a contextual background - A horizon of context. Even something as simple, yet profound, as the choice to continue living each day evokes the contextual background that life is difficult, there is no apparent meaning to our suffering and there is no way to find out. This contextual horizon of the world we inhabit and the time we are born is given to us, not created by us. We can only make judgements and decisions in front of it.
